A museum that pushes us to listen to the most intimate part of ourselves. Obsculta, the museum set up by the Benedictine nuns of the church of San Giuseppe, is in piazza Pola in Ragusa Ibla.

Obsculta is not just a museum; it is an experience of reflection and introspection. It takes its name from the incipit of the rule of san Benedetto, to which the Benedictines of Ragusa Ibla dedicated their lives: "Listen, O son, to the teachings of the master and open your heart gently". And in fact, the museum wants to be an opportunity to listen to the deepest part of oneself.
It was inaugurated in 2011, for the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the Benedictine monastery of San Giuseppe in piazza Pola , in the heart of Ibla.
It offers a small exhibition itinerary, divided into four sections, dedicated to the history of the historical monastery, but also to the daily life of the Benedictine nuns of the perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, cloistered nuns. Deeply moving!
